A Girls Day Out

On Friday, McKenna & I headed out for a girls day with our favorite friend Katie K. Katie's best friend, Kristin Keane and her daughter, Kalleigh came in town for the weekend and we were invited to spend some girl time together in downtown Naperville. Through Katie, Kristin & I have become fast friends - you may remember her from this post last year when she was giving me one of my IM injections in the Cheesecake Factory bathroom. We picked Kristin & Kalleigh up from the train station in downtown Naperville and then immediately headed to the Riverwalk. At 10am it was already about 85 degrees, so we didn't last long walking around outside. We decided to head to the DuPage Children's Museum. After a couple of hours of playing around in the water tables, bubble tables, and wind tunnel, we went to On The Border for lunch. It was a great day!

Our favorite little boy, Tucker Alan Bea, turned ONE on July 11, 2010! We celebrated at the Bea's new house on Saturday the 10th. As you can see, Tucker LOVED his birthday cake!

Love is in the Air

On Saturday, July 10, my friend, Jen Michaels married her best friend, Jeff Campen. It was a beautiful ceremony and the reception was a blast! It couldn't have been a more perfect day in the Chicagoland area.

McKenna was with Grandma & Grandpa, so Brian & I took the opportunity to party late into the night! :)

3 Months Old!

Dear McKenna,

I just can't believe it, another month has gone by. Today you are 3 months old. To celebrate, we went to our new pool with Aunt Mackie. You had a blast kicking and lounging in the kiddie pool. I think we'll be spending a lot of time at the pool together!

Yesterday, we met with Dr. Kreiling for your 3 month weight check. She said that you look perfect! You weigh exactly 10 lbs. (10th percentile) and you are 23 1/4 inches (50th percentile) long.

You are now wearing size 1 diapers and have slowly moved into 0-3 month clothes. You are eating 24 oz of formula a day. You go to bed at 8:00-8:30pm every night and sleep until 7:30-8:00am! You now sleep through the night! Waking only once when you need your pacifier put back in your mouth. You are a great sleeper, taking a morning, early afternoon, and late afternoon nap, your wakefulness lasts about 1-2 hours and then you are right back to napping!

When you eat, you like to hold hands with whoever is feeding you, gripping their finger tightly in your little hands. But that is only when you aren't holding your bottle! You have found your hands this month. You are always putting them in your mouth and looking at them right in front of your face. Sometimes we think you are coming up with an evil plan! :)

You giggle and talk more and more everyday, especially when we make silly sounds and ask you "What are you even doing?!". You are so observant and aware - always looking around and listening. You love to smile. When Daddy comes home, you look for him right away and then giggle and laugh with him telling him all about our day. You sure do love your Daddy!

Aunt Lizzie moved downtown Chicago this month and we miss her so much! I think you miss her "Bella Bounce" the most! Aunt Lizzie would hold you and bounce while walking around.

You love to sit up with help and look around the room. The World Cup was on this month and we watched every game together. You loved looking at the green green grass and watching all the movement. Brazil was the team you rooted for, but I think Aunt Mackie had something to do with that!

Your favorite toys are toys that crinkle, they make you laugh and laugh. You love to look at your froggy that hangs from your car seat.

You have so many nicknames... Kenna, MJ, Punky, Punkin, Bumble, Bumblebee Tuna, BumbleTree, Chiquita Banana, Bunky, Love Love, SweetGirl, KennaJo, Punky Brewster...just to name a few!

These have been the most amazing three months of my life. I can't imagine anyone more special then you, my sweet baby girl.

Just know that you are the most perfect little girl in the whole world.
