You are 6 months old! What a big girl you are! In the past month, you have done so much growing.
We met with Dr. Kreiling this month for your 6 month well check up. You weighed 14 lbs. 3 oz. (between the 10th-25th %tile) and you were 25 1/2 inches long (50th %tile). You still have that long & lean look going! Dr. Kreiling was excited to hear about all of the fun things you're doing. She told us that we could start feeding you food that Mommy & Daddy are eating...we can give you mashed potatoes, avocado, sweet potatoes...yum yum! You are going to be so excited to finally be able to take that bite out of Daddy's food! You try so hard to get to it every night! She also told us that we can start giving you Cheerios and let you drink out of a sippy cup. We concluded the appointment with your immunizations...ugh! They are getting harder and harder the older you get. You were so mad at those nurses...you knew exactly what they were doing in there. It breaks my heart to hear you cry that hard.
Of course, as soon as we left the doctor's office, we headed right to Target to pick you up a sippy cup and some Puffs! It didn't take you long to figure it out on your own...Smart Girl!
Using Aunt Krissy's shirt to snag a Puff!
After playing and laughing at Trippy, your next most favorite thing to do is to eat. You love all vegetables and all fruit. Except for the initial hesistation with sweet potatoes, there hasn't been anything you won't gobble up! You are getting better and better at picking up your puffs and trying to eat them. You still grab them with your whole hand...we haven't quite figured out the pincher grasp just yet...but you're getting there. You love to knaw/suck on fresh cold stalks of celery and carrots, when we go out to eat we make sure to order you some, because if we don't then you make sure to let us know how unfair it is that we're eating and you're not!

You sit up by yourself with no problem now. You haven't figured out yet if you like it when you're sitting up or not...you like to sit up when you're playing with a toy or if you're watching Trippy & Daddy play, but you're not so sure about it when you want to move. I think it makes you feel like you're stuck and it doesn't always feel so good when try to lay down. It's not always the most graceful move. You haven't started to crawl yet, but you so badly want to move forward. Rolling has become so easy for you, you roll all over the place trying to get to a toy or over to a person. We think you're going to love it when you can chase Trippy all by yourself!
You love to be with your Mommy & Daddy and you don't like it when we leave you. When we're trying to clean up dinner, make lunches in the morning, or just trying to clean up the house...you want to be right there part of the action. Once we sit you in your Bumbo in the center of the action, then you are good to go. You like it best when we sit you next to the bowl of Halloween candy. You reach in and grab a piece and put it in your mouth right away...you are sooo much like your Mommy! So far your favorite has been Nerds...you love the sound the box makes!

Could she be any cuter?!

At 6 months old, you are still wearing size 2 diapers, and you have moved into 3-6 month clothes.
We tried Cheerios once...but they made me very nervous...they just don't melt fast enough for me right now. We'll stick to the Puffs for now! :)

You go to bed around 7:30pm and wake up around 6:45-7:00am. You are still a great sleeper, you have no trouble sleeping through the night.
At the moment you don't have "stranger danger" at all. You'll go to anyone and give them a big smile. But, you definitely know when Mommy & Daddy are around! You love your family.

At night when it's time to settle down and Daddy isn't home, we love to snuggle together on the couch. You lay and put your head right against your brother/sister. I'm pretty sure the two of you are connecting already.
hard to see my Belly, but here we are at Week 18
one of my big "good morning" smiles that I get every morning!
this weekend Daddy & I took you swinging for the first time at the park down the street from our house. You LOVED it! ...you also loved to watch Trippy run around while you were swinging!

we went down the slide too! Wheeee!

...and we climbed the climbing wall!
I can't wait to see what is to come for you in the next month. It has been so exciting to watch you grow these past 6 months, I just can't even imagine how much more fun things are going to get around here!
There are so many people in your life who love you so much and that was apparant this past weekend at your Baptism. We are so lucky to have such wonderful friends & family.
Just know that you are the most perfect little girl in the whole world.
I love you sweet girl.
Love, Mommy
