Wedding Bells

My blogging has seriously been interrupted by World Cup soccer and playing with my Kenna girl ... I've almost watched every single game ... I can't get enough.

On Saturday, June 12, my cousin Erin and her fiance Kreso got married. Mom, Dad, McKenna, & I headed to Ohio on Friday afternoon, and Kristen, Lizzie, & Brian left Friday night after work. It was a beautiful wedding and we rocked it out all night long at the reception. As always I took a ton of pictures...and you'll be surprised but I promise I scaled it down big time for this post.

Here's a run down of our weekend....

When we arrived on Friday night, Mom, Dad, McKenna & I settled into the hotel and then went out for a quick bite to eat at Damon's.

McKenna's first time in a hotel ...
she liked hanging out and cuddling on the bed with Grandma

After the ceremony, we went over to Uncle Jeff's house to hang out and swim before the reception...

Kenna wanted to swim too, but the water was just too cold, so she just dipped her toes

Before the reception started, we headed back up to our hotel room to clean up a bit and cool off...

Brian & Kenna decided to read her new book...

...and then take a quick nap

It was then time to PARTY, so we headed downstairs to the reception...

Our Day...

Today...June 10th...it will forever be our day.

Four years ago today, Brian & I became husband and wife. We said our "I do's", sealed them with a kiss, danced as Cinderella and her Prince, and then partied with our friends and family all night long. It was the best day of my life.

But that was until my Prince Charming became a dad.

Now I'm living the best days of my life...each and every day.

I didn't think I could love my high school sweetheart any more than I did on our day...

wow, was I ever wrong.

I love you, Brian. I can't wait to spend forever together.

Happy Anniversary, my love! It has been an amazing 4 years.
I know it'll only get better and better.

Love you.

2 Months Old!

Dear McKenna,

2 months old...wow...today you are 2 months old. It is amazing how much you have grown in the past month. I'm not sure my heart could feel any fuller than it does when I'm with you. I have sooo much to tell you!

Today we went to see Dr. Kreiling for your 2 month visit. You weigh 8 lbs. 15 oz (10th %tile), you are 22 7/8 in. long (75th %tile!) and your head circumference measured 14 3/4 in. (10th %tile). You gained 1 lb. in 3 weeks! We are so proud of you! You are definitely maintaining the long and lean look!! After all of the fun stuff, it was on to the rest of your appointment...the immunizations...2 oral and 3 injections....Momma and Grandma were so sad for you. I don't think I have heard you scream that loud yet and then you went into the cry that I hate so much. On the way home, I gave you a bottle and you fell fast asleep. Whew!

A lot of exciting things have been happening this month. You are alert and interactive. You make eye contact and can shift your eye contact from one person to another as they are talking to you. During tummy time you can lift your head 90 degrees and you almost rolled over! You love love love to snuggle but also love to just lay on the floor by yourself and kick your legs and giggle. You love watching the puppies play, you especially like to watch Pepper and her shiny black coat.

You are still wearing newborn size clothes and jammies, as well as newborn size diapers. You are eating 4 oz every 4 hours...sometimes a little more and sometimes a little less.

Aunt Krissy, Aunt Beanie, and Aunt Puggie love to hold you and snuggle with you. Aunt Krissy always thinks you need a diaper change, and tries to change you every time she holds you! It is so funny! She just doesn't want her Kenna-girl wearing a messy diaper! ...and if she would just learn to shut the top of the wipes, it'd be all good!

Our favorite saying is "do it, do it, just do it", Grandma, Aunt Beanie, Aunt Puggie & I say it to you making you smile, giggle, and talk. You are just so funny! You coo and 'talk' to us, especially when we ask you "what did you do today?". Every time you hear your Mommy or Daddy's voice you look around trying to find us.

Every Sunday night, GP babysits you while your Mommy and Daddy play volleyball. You love to lay next to him on the floor and talk. He just can't get enough of you...he always touches your face, loving your cheekies.

You are waking up once during the night to eat, usually around 2 or 3am. You'll get up again around 5 or 6am to eat and then take another nap while Grandma and Mommy watch The Today Show and Oprah.

This month we closed on our new house and we'll be moving in the next couple of months. We've gone to the new house a few times together to look at your room. One time we even got to meet our new neighbors while the neighborhood was having their garage sales. There are so many kids, you are just going to love it! We just got our pool passes too! Mommy and Daddy can't wait to take you swimming!

You love to take baths. You like to kick your feet and lay in the warm water. You don't really like it though when Mommy has to wash your neck!

You don't get fussy very often, but when you do what settles you down the best is Aunt Puggie singing "Roll Black Water, Keep on Rollin'" - she has been singing that to you since birth!

Just know that you are the most perfect little girl in the world.

I love you sweet girl.

Love, Momma

The Newest Fad

Those of you with kids or who are teachers know exactly what I'm talking about...

Silly Bands!!!

Aunt Mackie is already making sure that McKenna is one of the cool kids!

What a lucky little girl!

I had a meeting at our school district office on Monday, so Mom, Mack, and Kris stayed home to babysit! This picture was taken on my camera while I was gone! My baby girl is holding her own bottle...well, kinda...it's kind of just balancing on her hands :) ! But, hey!, we'll get there! Let's give it some time...it's already moving WAY too fast!
