Just a Smattering...

There were a few moments captured this weekend that I wanted to share...it's not a Witkowski weekend without a lot of things going on...and on this Columbus Day weekend it was just as busy!

On Friday night we met my family out for dinner at our favorite italian restaurant, Traverso's. The WHOLE family made it out: mom, dad, me, Brian, Kris, Liz & her friend Eric, and Mackenzie & Chacal. We had a nice time as always and Dad couldn't be any happier...he had all of his girls together AND the evening was capped off by the Yankees winning game 2 of the American League Division Series!

On Saturday I was invited to go wedding dress shopping with my mother-in-law, Barb, and my future sister-in-law, Sabrina. Sabrina and Brian's brother Eric are getting married on September 4, 2010. It was Sabrina's first time out looking - so we worked on picking out the style and figuring out exactly what Sabrina wanted. We went to David's Bridal and Wolsfelt's Bridal Salon (a local bridal boutique; I actually got my dress there). I obviously do not have pictures of Sabrina in her dresses because Eric reads my blog and one of them that we picked out just might be THE ONE!

What I do have is a picture of ME in a dress...haha...seriously! When we were at Wolsfelt's, I had picked out a dress for Sabrina to try on not realizing that it cost $3000...just a bit over the budget. Barb pulled it out of the bag to see why it might cost that much. This dress was gorgeous! So, I jumped up and started to undress...I wanted this dress on! Belly bump and all...it fit perfect. I texted Brian a picture of me in it - telling him that I found my dress for when we renew our vows - haha! Sorry I don't have a full length picture, but it was tight quarters in the room. For those of you wondering, the skirt was full with a long train...you'll have to take my word for it...it was gorgeous...

Here is just an updated picture of our girl...she didn't want to smile because she is mad that her team (the Cardinals) were swept in the National League Division Series...she and her Dad are not very happy with Matt Holliday. Isn't she getting so old!?

On Saturday night we went out to a restaurant called The Clubhouse for Megan Samples' birthday dinner. It was delicious and I can't wait to eat my leftovers this afternoon. When we got home I made Brian take a couple of belly bump pictures. I know that I'm only 12 weeks but I swear this bump is growing - it is really starting to look like a pregnant belly vs just a fat one. I know that it seems like I'm a bit obsessed with the whole belly bump phenomenon...and yes, you are right...I am. But, I'm just loving it, I just can't wait for this baby to keep growing. It is truly a great feeling. The question is...do you agree with me? Does it look like it's growing? ...hmm...maybe I just ate too much...nah...gotta be baby!

On Sunday morning, Trippy got me up nice and early. We got up went out and she ate, then I jumped on the computer. Brian isn't feeling very well right now (I'm trying to steer clear!), so he stayed in bed. A little while later, I went in to check on Brian and Trip and realized that she had jumped back up in bed and had fallen back asleep all cuddled up with Bri. As you can see, she loves her dad and the body pillow but she is not in love with me waking her up to take this picture!

Here's a few more pictures of our girl. We think that she could sense that Brian was under the weather because she wanted to cuddle with him all day. Here they are watching TV.

The she decided to move to a warm spot on the couch...it was where the sun was shining in through the window...such a tired girl...

I love my Trippy girl!

On Monday Mackenzie & I are going to brunch with Renee Myers (one of my best friends from college) and her sister Jamie. Renee gave birth to her son Jackson on June 18th and I haven't seen him since! We are really excited to catch up with the girls and of course hold and cuddle with Jack. Be sure to check back tomorrow night for pictures!!!

A Happy Day!

It's not just a chilly Sunday morning, it's....

MEGAN'S BIRTHDAY!!!
Happy

We love you!

Baby Shower Fun

On Friday night, I went to a baby shower for my friend Jenny Kammer. Jenny is a fifth grade teacher at my school. Jenny, and her husband Matthew are expecting their daughter, Madisyn Ashley, in January. We had a really nice time - eating, talking, laughing, and oohing and ahhing over all of the cutesy baby gear!

Jenny is also a follower of the blog, I think she was excited about being showcased! :)

The three preggo's...Svetlana Concannon, Jenny Kammer & me!
They are both due in January - only 4 days apart!

Katie and I went in on the gift for Baby Madisyn...the pretty pink JUMPER!

Svetlana, Courtney Koeller, me, & Kris Jones' hands

now you can see Kris better!

Jen Michaels & Amanda Lemler

Amanda, Charmonique Joiner & Sharon Cody

It was just a small gathering of girls from school, but we really had a nice time together. Thank you Svetlana for inviting me! Good Luck Kammer family - we can't wait to meet Baby Madisyn!!!

Week 12

I can't even believe it...but, week 12 is here! Everyone said that the nine months goes fast and I'll admit I was having trouble believing it...as the weeks have gone by they have seemed to drag...but then I think WAIT A MINUTE! - I'm already in my SECOND trimester! Whew! I guess that it has gone fast.

We had a great time at my parents house on Tuesday night. Trippy loves to play with Pepper and I love the chance to catch up with my parents and sisters on a weekly basis. This week mom made stew, which was absolutely perfect for the chilly weather that is settling itself over Chicago.

Dad, Mom, Kris, Brian, Me and Mackenzie (Lizzie was still at work)...we made sure to get the boys involved this week!

my growing belly...

I measured 37 1/2 inches.

I love this picture - how cute is Brian?

I got in my comfy clothes and Mackie wanted to take a couple more of my belly, she thought you could see it better with the tank top on...

me & Krissy snuggling

Seriously, who trained this dog??? She's soooo cute though, isn't she?! Kristen sure is cute too!

I had my weekly blood draw this morning...

They called me this afternoon to let me know that my progesterone was at 29 - which is still good - it's holding on tight. (Dr. Hickey wants it to remain above 20.) They also let me know that I can decrease my oral progesterone medication to only 2 times a day! (I was taking it 3 times a day) Little by little, week by week, we are getting closer and closer to leaving the daily medications completely behind - what an awesome feeling. It is such a relief to know that we have a healthy pregnancy. We couldn't be any more excited!

Thank you very much for all of your continued thoughts and prayers....we are so lucky to have each and every one of you in our lives.

Baby Witko is so blessed.

Gala-gant

This weekend Brian, Lizzie & I went to the 50th Anniversary Gala at Walsh University in Canton, Ohio. (my mom and dad had a wedding in Michigan, so they weren't able to make it) My Dad graduated from Walsh in 1974. He is a huge supporter of Walsh University. I'm not sure why I never gave Walsh a chance when choosing the University I would attend...sure it is small but it sure has a lot of character...Walsh has a gorgeous campus and you couldn't meet any nicer of people. Maybe our kids will go there...

My Dad is very involved in his Alma Mater - he is on their Board of Directors. Last year he was even inducted into their Wall of Fame! The Walsh soccer field is named for him too.

It was Homecoming weekend so along with the black tie Gala we also saw the boys and girls alumni soccer games. My Aunt Malo and Uncle Ba, who live in Mentor, Ohio, drove down and came to the Gala with us! We had a great time!

Here we are heading to campus...

In the Student Center, there was a bulletin board noting all of the Homecoming events...Look who we found on it! (that is my dad speaking at his Wall of Fame Induction)

Brian & Lizzie and the Cavalier Baseball Team...

The Wall of Fame plaque located in the brand new athletic center...

Dad's NAIA District Championship Soccer trophy - they won it in 1973

Lizzie & I at Dad's field posing with his scoreboard - so cool!

the alumni game...it was cold!

Now on to the pictures from the Gala...Lizzie with her "black tie"!

Me & Aunt Malo

Uncle Ba was asked to stand in honor of my Dad when they announced the Board of Directors

A nice picture of the five of us!

...the music couldn't contain Lizzie...she just loves "SHOUT!"
getting ready to head out Sunday morning - Brian was in a bit of a rush, so while Lizzie is packing I am putting on her socks...check out the shadow on the wall - doesn't it look like a ghost is tapping me on the shoulder? Spooky!

Almost home...what a great weekend!!!
